The Cultural Academy of Rourkela is founded by a few intelligent in the year 1960 at Sector - 5, Rourkela. It has the library facility and there is separate reading room. This academy has been functioning with its various activities which are as follows:

1. Publishing the Nabapatra  (A Progressive value based by monthly magazine)

2. Organising State Level Lok Natak Mahotsav.

3. Running the Lalit Kala School.

4. Celebrating the Rag Ragini Utsav.

5. Celebrating the Katha Sahitya Divas.

6. Celebrating Kabya Kabita Divas.
