Victory of Uditnagar High School

Rourkela, Uditnagar High School declared as champion in a state level football competition. They had played against Choudwar High School and defeated them in final by 7-4 points. This victory was celebrated by both teachers and students.

Scare supply of electricity and water

Due to the scare supply of the electricity people in Construction colony of Fertilizer are facing a lot of problems. Not only this but they were also suffering from the scare supply of water.Financial help was also provided for this problem of electricity supply but still more than nine hundred families are staying without electricity till date.

Rourkela Labour Union

The Rourkela Labour Union is going to complete its 50 Years and will celebrate Golden Jublie on Wednesday, 16th of December. The programme will be organised for a week i.e. from 11th December'05 to 17th December'05. Mumbai's Ex Mayer Dr. Shanti Patel will be invited as guest.

SBI Celebrated 200 Years

SBI had given two computers to the children of SOS Village for completion of its 200 years. SOS Village is an orphanage situated near Chhend, Rourkela.At the SOS Village programme its director Haraprasad Mahapatra delivered the welcome speech and said all about the programme and progress of SOS Village.

The Ex Chief Minister of Orissa, Mr.N.Choudhary's birth anniversary was celebrated at NIT campus, Rourkela. He was always against the unjustice, fraud and criminal activities and helped the poor people for their rights. Through out his life he has devoted himself for the welfare of the society.

Electricity supply in Gudiatoli

Electricity had been supplied to the area knoun as Gadiatoli Basti. About fifty family were living there without electricity for many days. With the kind attention paid by Mr. Nayak these people are now satisfied with the supply of electricity.

UNICEF

The UNICEF and the state government had organised a programme for children. Out of many different school, the students of CHINMAY school got the prize for their best performance.

Dalmiya's College Record

Dalmiya College, Rourkela. Two students got the best position in the examination held by the Sambalpur University and awarded with gold medals. Many of the other students were also awarded.

Famous Leader Birsa Munda

The famous STSC leader Birsa Munda's Anniversary is celebrated at Bandamunda, Rourkela. Mr.Ramesh was the guest of honour. STSC club member Mr.Philip Tappo, Mr.S.R.Baruaanka along with other mambers gave their contribuation to make the programme successfull.

Achievement of ITI students

ITI students achieved their goal by getting their results of the Exams held in the month of April 2005. Out of fiftynine students fiftysix students got the First class position in Fitter and Electronics.

Health Awareness Programme

To make the people aware towards the healthy life of their children, a camp was been organised at Sector-2, near Gariya Bahal Basti. A special attention was given to the children.They are also provided with the proper medical facilities.

125th Birth Anniversary of Pd.Ghanshyam Panigrahi is celebrated at Basanti Colony. Mr.Brijkishore Mohanty came there along with Mr.N.Rout, Kishore Dash, Vichitrananda Shaoo gave their comments on the life of Pd.Panigrahi.

Gopastami Celebration

Rourkela celebrated the "Gopastami" at Vedvyas with full dedication. Hundreds of people gathered and devoted themselves in worshiping "gomata" with all their traditional rules. On the eve of gopastami Mr. Ganesh Prasad Bagaria organised the whole programme at "Vedvyas Goshala".

Children Day Celebration

"No one does crime by his birth but it is the lesson that is being taught to the small children and the worse situations that comples the individual to be an accused"- said DIG on the eve of Children's Day Celebration. As per Mr. Mohanty (DIG) , these children are not criminal or accused and work should be done to built their future. Other members B.K.Mahendram, Ramesh Chandra Prusti, Dr. Bishnupriya Sahu and Advocate Arati Choudary conveyed the same for the future of the individual those how involve themself in the criminial activities.
